How to use Saner.AI – the AI Assistant [Ultimate Guide]

The Ultimate Guide to Saner.AI - Your AI Assistant

Hi folks,

We created Saner.AI to be your ultimate AI Productivity Assistant – think of it like your personal Jarvis (sadly, without the cool Iron Man suit, yet).

What started as a simple AI notes app has now grown into something way cooler, with tools for tasks, reminders, emails, and even voice assistance.

Here’s how you can get started and maximize the potential of this AI Assistant

Ok, you first need to figure out what kind of user you are. (Don’t worry, no personality quiz or horoscopes are required 🤣 )

Three Main Types of Saner.AI Users

1/ The Knowledge Synthesizer

Saner.AI user - the Knowledge synthesizer

You’re the kind of person with a million notes, ideas, and documents saved over the years.

Your main challenge isn’t just saving information—it’s finding the right piece of information when you need it, connecting the dots between different topics, and discovering insights you didn’t even know were there.

Success for you looks like this

    • Find what you need through your entire “vault” of information without breaking a sweat.
    • Connecting related ideas, topics, or notes to uncover deeper insights.
    • Feeling confident that all your knowledge is organized and accessible – so you can tap into it effortlessly at any time.

Who you typically are: Entrepreneurs, researchers, academics, original content creators.

2/ The Task Doer

Saner.AI user - the Task Doer

You’re the one juggling 10 things at once while another 5 tasks pop up out of nowhere 😅

Tasks hit you from every direction – emails, Slack messages, follow-ups from meetings – and it’s hard to keep track of it all. You want one single source of truth to organize your chaos. Oh, and you would love an assistant to help you prioritize, schedule, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.

Success for you looks like this:

    • Having one place where all your tasks are laid out clearly, so nothing gets forgotten.
    • An assistant that helps you prioritize what actually matters, schedule tasks, and follow up on them so they get done.
    • Tools to keep you focused on one thing at a time—no more feeling pulled in 50 directions.

Who you typically are: Entrepreneurs, executives, managers, freelancers.

3/ The Power User

Saner.AI user - the Power User

You’ve got the information overload of the Knowledge Synthesizer and the never-ending task list of the Task Doer (best of both 😉 )

You’re ambitious, responsible for a lot, and constantly managing incoming information and tasks. You need a system that can handle both seamlessly.

Success for you looks like this

    • Efficiently managing all incoming information – easily find anything you need anytime.
    • Clear on what needs to be done and when – so you feel confident about your actions and priorities.
    • Focusing on tasks and knocking them out easily without distractions or overwhelm.

Who you typically are: Entrepreneurs, executives, high-achieving multitaskers who somehow do it all.

For each of these types, we created detailed guides to help you get started and make Saner.AI your ultimate productivity sidekick.

How to get started with Saner.AI

1/ The Knowledge Synthesizer

Overview

Saner.AI user - the Knowledge synthesizer steps
  1. Connect your information source (if any)
  2. Search and synthesize insights from your docs
  3. Convert them to a note
  4. Continue refining with AI, and internet search alongside
  5. See relevant notes to connect the dots

1/ Connect all your information sources

You can bring in everything from your notes and files to events and messages. Here’s how:

    • Notes (Notion, Evernote, Apple Notes, Obsidian, PDF, Markdown): Go to Import, pick the option, and follow the steps.
    • Google Drive, Docs, Calendar, Slack: Head to Connectors, choose what you want to link, and you’re set

2/ Search and synthesize your docs

Ask AI

Basically, you can ask the AI to find anything across your notes, email, or drive – and it’ll even show citations so you know where it found the info. No more “I think I saw that somewhere…” moments.

Here’s how it works:

    • On the Ask AI screen, you’ll see a button for where the AI should look.
      • If you only want it to check specific notes or folders, pick “context: selected.”
      • If you want it to use all the info you’ve added to the app, go with “context: all.”
    • Once you ask your question, the AI will pull its answer straight from the sources you selected – and it’ll give you clear citations so you know exactly where it got everything.

The cool part? You can use those citations to dig deeper: just select them as the source for your next question. Or keep the same setup and ask away. Your call.

3/ Convert AI chat to a note:

Saner.AI - convert to note

This allows you to edit quickly, without having to copy-paste

    • Click on the “Create a note” button
    • Then you can choose to convert the current message or the whole conversation into a note
Saner.AI - AI alongside

With this, you can edit, search, and work on 1 screen

    • Open any note
    • Click the “Ask AI” button on the right side of the screen
    • An AI window will pop up

From there, you can search the internet, dig through your notes, or just ask ChatGPT or Claude for general knowledge

5/ See Relevant notes

Saner.AI - Relevant notes

With this, you can connect the dots and avoid doing the same work twice (how many times did that happen to you 🥲 ?)

    • Click the “Open similar notes” button on the right side of your screen.
    • A list of notes related to what you’re working on will pop up—like magic.
    • Pick the one you want, then hit “Open in side panel.”

And boom, that note will show up on the right side of your screen. Now you can see both notes at once and tweak them like a pro

2/ The Task Doer

3/ Process Incoming Items in Your Inbox

Saner.AI - Inbox

This is your command center. Everything you need to handle—tasks, notes, emails—is here, and it’s all powered by Skai, your AI sidekick. Here’s how it works:

1. Centralized Inbox:
You only need to check this one place. Skai automatically organizes all your new notes, emails, and tasks, so you can focus on what matters.

2. Skai Suggestions:
Skai sorts your inbox into two categories:

    • What to tackle first (high priority).
    • What can wait (lower priority).

3. AI-Suggested Actions for Each Item:
For every note, email, or task, Skai offers three actionable suggestions to help you move forward. For example:

    • Turn it into a task.
    • Research a solution online.
    • Draft a response or refine the idea.

4. Create and Organize Tasks:

    • If you turn the item in a task, it goes straight to your Tasks section.
    • If you pick another action, Skai takes care of it and gives you the result.

5. Refine and Mark Complete:
After processing an item, you can turn it into a note, refine it further, and check it off once it’s done.

4/ Organize the todos

Saner.AI - Organize todos

All the tasks all pulled into the task section. Here, the AI will help you break down the tasks, prioritize them, and plan for the day. Here’s how

    • Select the tasks you want to work on
    • Select AI-suggested action
    • AI will return a response, edit it if needed, or hit save to accept that recommendation

5/ Focus on your work

Saner.AI - Focus mode

This helps you stay clear on the one thing you need to do now

    • Pick one task (or more, but I would suggest one only 😄 )
    • Click focus

A popup with that single task will appear and follow you around your desktop. It’s like a little reminder buddy to keep you on track – because, be honest, we all get distracted easily when moving around tabs, and screens 😃
